Lately i've been feeling extra girly, which has also been reflecting in my work. Jeans have taken the back seat and I'm wearing more dresses, although its still raining outside. Unknown to me til recently, this sudden 'extra-girly' behaviour was paving the way to my new obession - weddings!! This might seem rather odd, considering i've been happily married for over a year now but what can i say? i love weddings.
My favourite blogs to visit at the moment are Love & Splendor, Kiss the Groom and 100 layer cake. For anyone planning a wedding or if your anything like me and just simply love them i suggest you pay a visit and draw some inspiration from pictures like these -

Annoyed....
It's late and i should be asleep but as my title states.. i'm annoyed.
While cleaning up my extensive blog list which i save on my desktop i was surprised to stumble across a blog (which i saved last year but hadn't revisited until now) that had products which are all too familiar with me.
To be frank, aside from the different choice in material the item(s) are exactly like mine! Colour, shape, and form. I checked to see when this particular person listed his/her item and it was this year in May. I listed my item almost a year ago.
I know, as an artist, i draw inspiration from other designers and i may even have thought to myself ' i sooooo can do that!' but isn't there some moral code which is understood by fellow etsians that you just don't copy peoples stuff. period!!
There is such a fine line when it comes to intellectual property which i know everyone crosses once in a while, even me, i just wasn't expecting to see it tonight.

On Hiatus!!
I never thought living without the Internet could have this much effect on Olive Farm but i guess that's what naivety does to you =(
I've been back for over a month now however as soon as we returned hubby and i had to pack up our home and move since our lease was up and we found a lovely place south of the river. I always knew things were going to be hectic when we came back however i didn't count for the nasty, horrible food poisoning we caught from overseas. Luckily it started on our first night back and not on the plane ride home *phhhewwwww* Being ill slowed us down majorly and simple tasks suddenly became monstrous obstacles.
Once we moved and unpacked what seemed like a million boxes we discovered that our phone line is too far from the exchange, my hubby's nerd talk for 'can't get the internet'. This put a complete stop to all Olive Farm updates, news, listings etc and poor livvy was cut off from her 'world'. The only option we have is to install a wireless modem and upgrade our limit which is going to rack up a lot of $$$! Hubby is on the hunt for the best plan for us and while he does that i have been busy creating different pieces, incredibly eager to showcase them online.
Hopefully soon everything will be up and running but until then i guess i will have to drive to my parents place every few days to see whats happening in the etsy world.

Leaving on a jet plane...
As of tomorrow me, hubby and 8 other members of my family are flying overseas for a 3 week holiday! woohoo! In that time we will be visiting Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Makassar and Jakarta. I come from a big family and as us kiddies grow older and go own direction my parents are pretty adamant about us spending 'quality' family holidays together, especially when it comes to visiting the rellies in Indonesia.
LVOE
I'll be exposing hubby to the 'kampung' (which is 'village' in Indonesian) for the first time haha It'll be a new experience for him as he's never seen rural Asia before and i can't wait.
LOVE
Take care til i get back =) i promise to take a million pics and come back with great stories, hopefully none involving food poisoning *crossed fingers*
LOVE
I'll leave you with some photos of hubby and i enjoying our 1 year anniversary as a married couple. Cya in 3 weeks!

Trying to stand still
Lately my days consists of running last min holiday errands, catching up with girlfriends, packing up the house (coz we're moving in a month) while listening to tunes by this gorgeous chick....
She reminds me of Kelly Clarke from UMBER DOVE. Although I've never met the girl I'm a mad fan of her work and for some reason this is how i picture she spends her Sunday arvos on a warm sunny day =)
When there's so much to do and hardly any time to fit it all in, its great to lose yourself in the moment while listening to great tunes. So commmonn... get up and have a boogie!
